I’m Maureen Martin. I’m the CEO. I lead a talented team, who work with people with learning difficulties and their families.  I link with other organisations and networks to raise the profile of people with learning difficulties and I encourage the team to develop cutting edge ideas.  I like the fact EDG is a development organisation.  We do what we do on the can.  We develop ideas and help them become projects for people with learning disabilities.  I really enjoy working with people on my team.  I have a really strong dream, I’d love to see care cooperatives across Scotland.  Care cooperatives that are enabling people with learning disabilities and their families take control of their lives, and be part of their local communities enjoying whatever it is they want to do.

On the weekends I go away in the motorhome and explore different places, I do that with my dog.
