Independent Age Grant Fund

We wish to thank Independent Age Grant Fund for awarding us a COVID 19 grant which  will enable  us to offer  practical tasks such as shopping, collecting prescriptions and supplying PPE.  As the restrictions ease  we will  be able to support older carers to  'getting back out'  hopefully become less  'withdrawn' and  self-isolating.

Edinburgh Development Group are continuing to support their community during the COVID-19 crisis, thanks to National Lottery funding

Edinburgh Development Group have received £11,920 from The National Lottery Community Fund for Schools Out Support at Home to provide telephone and email support to families of children and young people with learning disability who are at home due to special school and settings closure under COVID-19.

Edinburgh Development Group already have an existing grant from The National Lottery Community Fund for our project Our Future in our Hands – supporting 3 self-managing care cooperatives for young people and adults with disabilities. This additional money will cover costs associated with their community response to the current crisis.

Neil Ritch, Scotland Director, The National Lottery Community Fund, said: “In these uncertain times our priority is to ensure that National Lottery money continues to flow to charities, voluntary sector organisations and grassroots groups.  I would like to congratulate Edinburgh Development Group on the work they are doing. Theirs is an important project that will support people now during the current crisis, and in the future when they can physically come back together to make great things happen in their community.”
