The Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD) is looking to hear the views of people with learning disabilities and their supporters about their experiences of the Coronavirus crisis. We plan to feed this back to the Scottish and UK governments in the short term, to inform them of what is needed to help people with learning disabilities and their families and supporters not only stay safe, but also look after their wellbeing during the Coronavirus emergency. In the longer term this will serve to highlight and reinforce the issues around support, loneliness and isolation that we all know still exist, but this emergency has brought into sharp focus.
We’ve used Survey Monkey to create two surveys:
A survey for people with a learning disability - https://bit.ly/3bdrH1B
A survey for parents, carers and supporters - https://bit.ly/2
We have also produced the survey in a video format - https://bit.ly/2VaIpJx
We are aware that online surveys are not an ideal way to capture everyone’s views, and would encourage people to also to feed in their experiences by calling us on 0141 248 3733 and asking to speak to Catriona, Andy or Oonagh.
